First Pics, Video for Smash Cut
I’m sure it’s got to be hard to follow up a film with a title, not to mention a premise, like Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter. But filmmaker Lee Demarbe is a trooper and stuck to his guns, and the result is Smash Cut, a rather dully-titled (in comparison, at least) horror romp about a movie director loosing his mind.
The film follows Able Whitman, a director on a downward spiral who becomes convinced that sexpot Gigi Spot is his next project, until he accidentally kills her in a car accident. He then gets the brilliant idea to use her slowly rotting corpse on his latest horror film, a place where remarkably few people will notice that it’s an actual dead girl. His guilt, however, gets the best of him, and pretty soon he thinks the only way to make a really great horror film is to keep killing.
Michael Berryman and David Hess star in Smash Cut, which Twitch Film just got a stack of stills from, as well as a teaser trailer, so hit 'em up to check 'em out. I think he concept has just enough guts to make for a pretty damn entertaining film, as long as no one takes themselves too seriously ... something tells me that won’t be a problem.

With Iron Man raking in money hand over fist, still, I’m sure one of the big questions in Hollywood is something we’ve not heard in a long time; what is Robert Downey, Jr. doing next? Other than the inevitable sequel(s), it looks like it might be the long-gestating adaptation of Cowboys & Aliens.
