First My Name is Bruce reviewI’m not usually one to link to other people’s reviews for pretty much anything, but My Name is Bruce is a movie I’ve been looking forward to for a long time and have been waiting for someone to say something new about it for a while.

So when a reader named Nathan dropped us a line to let us know that DVD Talk editor David Walker managed to eyeball an unfinished cut of the film at the Ashland Independent Film Festival in southern Oregon recently, I felt it was worth letting you guys know about. The film, directed by and starring Bruce Campbell as a parody of himself who’s kidnapped by some fans to stop the supernatural menace unleashed on a small town in Oregon because they think he’s just like Ash, apparently plays pretty well despite it’s unfinished state, though Walker oddly calls it “a film that sets itself up for miserable failure, but succeeds because of Bruce Campbell”.

Personally, I always though the idea of Bruce Campbell playing Bruce Campbell was a brilliant idea that would take a lot to screw up. Read the entire My Name is Bruce review for more and keep it on Dread Central for updates as they come along.
