First Look Nabs Transsiberian

First Look gets TranssiberianWe’ve been hoping for some good news on the Transsiberian front since the new film from Session 9 director Brad Anderson started making its festival rounds, and finally Variety delivered this morning.

First Look Studios has acquired the domestic rights for Transsiberian and has plans for a late summer release, though whether that means theatrical or straight to DVD was not mentioned.

Transsiberian tells of a couple, played by Woody Harrelson and Emily Mortimer, who fall into a plot of deceit and murder while aboard the titular train from China to Moscow. It’s definitely Anderson’s most ambitious film to date, and hopefully First Look will do right by it and at least give it a brief theatrical run.

Keep it here for more details as they come in, and check out the trailer below!

Looks good to me. LOVED session 9. Ever since Sexy Beast Kingsley, to me at least, has been on a roll.
