I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like come August, but nevertheless I’m looking forward to it cause the best East Coast convention, Monster Mania, just released a stellar guest list for their upcoming 11th show. Among the names are Robert Englund, Richard Dreyfus (yes, that Richard Dreyfus), Heather Langenkamp, Lisa Wilcox, Lin Shaye, Jason Mewes and the brand-new Jason (and coolest guy you’re likely to meet all year), Derek Mears (pictured)! If you’ve never been to a Monster Mania, let me tell you; you are missing out, friend. Not only to they have the badass guests and a great location, they have Dread Centrals own Nomad handing out free stuff by the truckload! Maybe it is better off to say that low-budget filmmaking and our beloved genre get along? This year alone I've seen about 25 unknown features ... and only a couple have been worth my time. The Grand Horror was one of those very few bright stars.
