Final Pumpkinhead DVD Art
MGM has had two versions of the DVD art for Pumpkinhead: 20th Anniversary Edition out there for a while now, neither of which were what one would call ideal. STYD have officially confirmed that the artwork you see to your right (click to make it bigger) is, indeed, the real deal.
Pumpkinhead will get its much-deserved special edition release on September 9th, 2008; click here to pre-order your copy via Evilshop now! In case you had forgotten, the brand-new SE will come with the following specs.
Good stuff! Now we just wait patiently for the 20th Anniversary edition of Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings!

Henry Selick’s upcoming stop-motion animated version of Neil Gaiman’s Coraline is probably one of my most anticipated films of the next few years. We’ve been reporting on it for seemingly years now, so the fact that it’s finally being made is fantastic.

just checked the link i posted below, and apparently it doesnt work...so if anybody wants to see what i was talking about, just google "pumpkinhead original poster art" and look at the images. its a pretty decent one of the demons hands holding a nasty looking pumpkin...anyway, its better than the neon job we're getting.

Personally I think I like the cover art, though it isn't as cool as the older one below:

But it's certainly a lot better than this one:

It is sad about Stan Winston, I hope there's some good behind the scenes video of him in action since he won't be on the commentary.
And why on earth would you want a special edition of Pumpkinhead II?? That has to be the worst one in the entire series!! Ashes to Ashes did the best job at trying to get the thematic elements, tone, and continuity right. It's the only sequel I'll ever watch and own (even with the bad cgi).

Winston died literaly right when we stopped shooting. But this DVD will be a nice dedication to his memory.

It's a shame Stan Winston was taken from us before he could contribute to this project :-(

That is some lame cover art. I googled the original poster art and came up with this:

I applaud MGM for releasing an SE of this movie at all, but I wish they would hire better artists.
