Word came in this morning that shooting has officially wrapped on the horror/comedy Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead, which we gave you guys the first word on a few months back (“Hamlet Characters Undead!” – December 2007).
The directorial debut of Jordan Galland, who also wrote the screenplay, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead follows an out of work loaf (Jake Hoffman) who scores a break directing an off-Broadway adaptation of Hamlet, written by a pale Romanian (John Ventimiglia) whom he eventually discovers is a vampire. That’s about all we know about the film so far, but it sounds like an interesting enough premise, especially when you consider that the Holy Grail has some significance in the goings-on. Interested to see how that will come into play.
We also got our hands on three fresh stills from the film, which you can see throughout. Jake Hoffman (“Arrested Development”), Devon Aoki (Sin City), Kris Lemche (Final Destination 3), Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) and Jeremey Sisto (May, Wrong Turn) star, with Sean Lennon (son of John) handling scoring duties.
Keep your eyes here for more updates on Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Undead.
