Exclusive: New Dimension For Job
During the panel for Job, the religious-themed slasher being directed by Pit of Horror main man (and one of the driving forces behind Fear Fest) John Gray, the plot was finally laid out for all in attendance. Job tells of the bad things a group of priests who run a summer camp for small boys do. When there’s an accident involving a young man named Job they try and cover it up but, for reasons unknown (for now at least), they don’t do a good job and years later Job is back from the dead, out to lay down some much-deserved justice on the priests who did him in.
Though Job has been on hold almost since it was first announced, there was some great news John was able to share with the Fear Fest folks; Job has got some serious money behind it now thanks to Dimension Films! The budget is going to be bigger than they had planned for, though who knows how much they’ll be able to get away with when the Brothers Weinstein get their mits on it; Job doesn't sound like it's going to be the kind of horror movie that will do well edited down to a PG-13.
Michael Pare, Jonathan Davis, Lee Perkins and famous horror author Joe Knetter are still on board for Job, with Tony Todd still in talks to join up, and shooting is expected to start up sometime this year.
Keep it here, on Pit of Horror, or on the official Job MySpace page for the latest on the film!
