Exclusive Look at Gudino’s Demonology!

Ever since I got the chance to see former Rue Morgue Editor in Chief Rodrigo Gudino’s debut short film, “The Eyes of Edward James” (review), I’ve been very anxious to find out what else he’s got up his creative sleeves. “Eyes” was a fairly standard story told in an interesting way, namely through the eyes of the main character, but something tells me his next film is going to go one step further.

Today we received the exclusive first look at that film, called “The Demonology of Desire”, with a set of images you can see below. It definitely sounds like a strange enough story: Late one night, Ramona makes a powerful wish. The following day, her prayer is miraculously answered when she meets Eric, a boy with no idea of the dark, fantastical depths that a boyhood crush can lead him. Equal parts fatal fable, romantic thriller and artcore horror, “The Demonology of Desire” is a love story … with a caustic heart.

I have to say I’ve had some weird relationships in my day, but none of them involved either a gun being pointed at me or found me in any sort of cage. Gudino’s currently looking for a place to premiere the film, hopefully by sometime in April, and we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we know when! Look for “Eyes of Edward James” at numerous festivals across the country; I’m sure “Demonology of Desire” is not far behind! Enjoy the pics!
