Exclusive: Judd Nelson in Talks for Howl!

Judd Nelson in negotiations to star in Howl! It’s been a while since much has been said about the upcoming werewolf flick Howl, but that doesn’t mean we’ve not been keeping our ears perked to hear more about it.

When we last mentioned it (“Exclusive Update on Werewolf Movie Howl!” – November 2007) Eric Stoltz was lined up to play the villain, alongside Powers Boothe and Muse Watson. Word on the street is that former 80’s heartthrobs Judd Nelson and C.Thomas Howell are both now in serious negotiations to star in Howl, which would make it a virtual who’s who of 80’s stars, which makes sense since the lead character is a messed up cop who’s obsessed with the decade.

The story follows said cop on the trail of a serial killer in Hollywood, who has a bit of a time limit since he’s due to become a creature of the night in a few short days. Once we get official word on the casting, we’ll be sure to let you know. You know me; I can’t get enough lycanthrope goodness! Visit the Howl MySpace page and await more news!

Knowing our luck, the next 80's star cast in the movie will be Steven Seagal.

Too early to tell, but I hope they do something good with a cast like that, and not have them be distracting cameos like Halloween.

I hope I'm wrong about this, but this idea sounds really stupid. Just an excuse to usher in the 80's crapola that's very popular, unfortunately. I'll wait and see.
