This morning STYD has learned that the pivotal role of Quaid for Anthony DiBlasi’s upcoming Dread, the adaptation of the Clive Barker short story, has finally been filled.
Taking on the role of the paranoid young man searching for answers as to the nature of fear in all the wrong places will be Shaun Evans, a relative newcomer whom you might’ve seen in such films as Being Julia, Boy A or Frozen Time, if such films are the sort that show up on your radar.
Shooting on Dread is expected to start this month in the UK, so expect to be hearing and seeing a lot more from it very soon.
