Ellis On Board Six Days Till Midnight
I’m not sure just how firmly rooted in our genre this one will be, but it’s a new film from Snakes on a Plane and Final Destination 2/4 director David R. Ellis, so if nothing else it’ll be fun. Actually, anyone who's seen Asylum (DVD review) can make a good argument why it may not be, but I digress.
Variety reports that Ellis is attached to helm Six Days Till Midnight, a thriller in which a man is given six days to answer a question. For every day he gets the answer wrong, a loved one is killed, culminating in his own death on the sixth day.
"I've been doing high-concept B movies, and this is the best script I've been associated with, a thriller with a great twist," Ellis told the trade, and that’s a pretty good endorsement if you consider this man’s career to date.

I don’t think it’s a smart idea for Summit Entertainment to fuck with a good thing, box office-wise if not quality-wise, so early out of the gate.
