Some tarty chick named Morella hosts this triple feature of terror (ahem…), which kicks off with Grave of the Vampire, about a woman impregnated by a vampire who raises her son to kill his dad. We then move on to House of Evil, in which Boris Karloff stars as the patriarch of a family killed off one by one by evil toys. Finally we’re dragged into Guru, the Mad Monk, for which I could only find described as an assault on the sense, though doubtful in a good way. Buy it here!
Darkness Surrounds Roberta (2007)

From the producers of Barricade comes this strange sounding whodunit from Italy. It’s about a woman named Roberta, believe it or not, who spends her days painting, playing erotic games and stealing stuff. Then she’s kidnapped by an obsessed art fan who somehow gets her to kill the most beautiful women in Florence. It’s all part of a plan, though; so don’t worry too much if you happen to be beautiful and live in Florence. Buy it here!
Hate2 O (2007)

Olivia and her four friends have decided they need to be cleansed. They take up in a secluded cabin for a water diet retreat, which I can only assume means you ingest nothing but water for however long to get all the toxins out of your body. Things get strange when one of the girls removes a fang from her unborn twin from her shoulder and throws it away, awakening the twin in the water. Hey, it’s Italian, you don’t want it to make too much sense, do you? Buy it here!
I Am Omega (2007)

Wow, it’s been a while since we’ve heard from The Asylum, hasn’t it? They never fail to disappoint when it comes to ripping off the big-budget movies in the theaters though, do they? Actually yes, they disappoint quite often, but this borrowing from I Am Legend has former Crow Mark Dacascos as the lead, a man who has to fight off mutants after surviving an apocalypse. I do have to say I dig the cover, at least. Buy it here!
The Killing Kind (1973)

This sounds like a nice slice of fucked-up ness; the story is about a man who is finally out of jail after having been forced to commit a gang rape (?). His overbearing mother and the people who screwed him while in jail are the banes of his existence, but things get very strange when a girl becomes attracted to him. But Terry has a taste for violent sex and gory death, so needless to say he’s not a very good companion. One by one the girls in town turn up dead; I wonder who could be responsible? Buy it here!
Nosferatu: The Ultimate Edition (1922)

Wow, I didn’t even know this was coming out, so it’s a pretty cool surprise all things considered. This brand-new edition from Kino Releasing is backed by a new orchestral recording of the original 1922 score, a brand-new HD transfer, the original German as well as the recently re-done English intertitiles, an hour-long documentary about the making of the film and the involvement of its creators in the occult and a helluva lot more. A must- have for old school horror fans of any age! Buy it here!
Stir of Echoes 2: The Homecoming (2007)

Though apparently not as good as the first (when are they ever?), this sequel still seems like a pretty interesting entry. It follows a solider who, after being injured in the Iraqi war, returns home to an uncaring world. Zombie Town (2006)

That is jus not a good cover. Worse so because it looks like it might be trying to rip off Shuan of the Dead’s DVD art, which is just wrong. Even weirder if you consider that the film is about a man and his ex-girlfriend teaming up to try and stop all the undead folks who keep popping up after a mysterious parasite makes them hungry for soft, warm, tasty flesh. Can they survive? Will you care? Buy it here!
