As writer/director Patrick Rea describes it, "Next Caller" is about a late night radio DJ who is doing a show on the supernatural. His skepticism is put to the test when he starts receiving strange phone calls. It was co-produced by Ryan S. Jones and Patrick Rea and stars Allan Kayser (Night of the Creeps) and Jennifer Friend (Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula). Sounds like perfect viewing on a dark, stormy night! Want to take it with you? Kayser especially was top-notch (good to see him getting some work), and the filming/editing techniques were great too. I really liked the tension & claustrophobic feel Rea was able to generate.
