Dread Central Nominated for a Spooky!

The Spooky award!Hey, check it out; we’ve been nominated for an award! About damn time, I have to say.

Dead Lantern’s 1st annual Splatcademy Awards have now kicked into full gear, and Dread Central is on the list of nominees! We’re under the “Best Horror Blog/Site Not Named DeadLattern.com” category; crafty title, that.

What do we get if we win? Well, aside from fame and adoration (like we need more of that…) we’ll have our very own Spooky Award (see image on the right) to display proudly on our mantel! Then all we’ll need is a mantel!

Click here to check out the other nominees in categories like “Best Film”, “Best Screenplay” and “Achievement in Breasts” and be sure to cast your vote! The vote should be for us, by the way, even if we weren’t nominated for “Achievement in Breasts” (obviously they’ve never seen Kryten shirtless).

Show your love and VOTE NOW!

Ashley Judd amazing in Bug? She was making everyone laugh in the theatre I saw it in, even the old people were cracking up at her dialog. Hell, I laughed too but I took the stage version seriously... odd.

You have stiff competition. Final Girl and AITH are pretty cool horror sites.

While I'm thrilled to be able to vote for us, I'm especially glad to have the chance to vote for Ashley Judd in Bug -- she gave a truly amazing performance in that film.

I have it under good authority that we've also been nominated for a Rondo Award (Write in by a good many people).
