Dinner for Fiends: What Scares Us
It’s been a long time since any of us have been scared. Odd, since we make a business out of watching things that are meant for the sole purpose of freaking people out then, isn’t it?
For this Dinner for Fiends we decided to take a trip back and discuss what really scared us, cinematically, and why. Though we mostly discuss our own personal pasts, and even though we’re all so jaded and calloused when it comes to our horror, we can still remember what makes for an effective scary film and give them their necessary props, so you’ll get some insight as to what’s out there now, or will be soon, that might actually freak you out.
You know how it works, so get clicking below! Hey, it’s better than listening to your family drone on and on during Thanksgiving dinner, right? Right!
Discuss what scares you in the Dread Central forums!

Jonathan King is a badass director. If you’ve not see Black Sheep yet, I don’t expect an enthusiastic "Hell yeah!" from ya when you read that, but I do expect you to take the comment to heart and get the damn movie on DVD. C'mon, the Weinsteins went through all that trouble to release it; you're not going to just let it sit on shelf somewhere, are you?
