Details for MST3K: 20th Anniversary Revealed!

MST3KA few days back we showed you the artwork for Mystery Science Theater 3000: 20th Anniversary Edition but had zero details as to what would be on it. With the arrival of Comic Con and all things geeky, that has now changed dramatically!

First and foremost, the 20th Anniversary Edition will contain four of the most-requested unreleased episodes of the groundbreaking show; First Spaceship to Venus, Laserblast, Werewolf and Future War. There will also be featurettes that explore the entire life cycle of “MST3K”, including interviews with every single person who was involved in making the show the classic that it is.

If that’s not enough, the 4-DVD set will also come with lobby cards and a figurine of Crow T. Robot! Shout! Factory promises this is only the first of many box sets that “MST3K” fans are going to go nuts over, now that they have the rights to the show’s entire run.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: 20th Anniversary Edition is hitting shelves on October 28th, 2008, click here to pre-order it now through Evilshop!

I am so glad that this is going to be an exaustive set. I was afraid that they were going to slap a few movies from the Rhino library on there. Nice to see that they're going deeper into the library.

Here's hoping that the next step is full seasons sets.

I would've never discovered MST3K if it wasn't in syndication (briefly) years ago with that whole A&E parody bit with the old guy hosting it. Many late nights were spent nearly dying of laughter and me becoming a fan of Joel, Mike and the 'Bots.

Can't wait to get this!

Actually, the "old guy" that hosted it was actually Mike Nelson, in makeup, doing an impression of Jack Perkins, the host of A&E's "Biography" as well as various other specials on A&E in the early/mid '90s.

God, the Jack Perkins interstitials were great. Mike is really an underrated talent playing characters (like Morrissey).
