Deadtime Stories Filming!
No sooner has the announcement been made that George Romero was producing a new horror anthology series, Deadtime Stories (“Romero’s New Deadtime Stories” – November 2007), than we get word that the flick has already started filming in and around Fayette County, Pennsylvania!
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had an article up yesterday announcing the start of filming. Stories will consist of three short films written by Jeff Monahan (pictured), who has worked with Romero on many films including The Dark Half and Bruiser.
Details on only one story, “Dust”, has been revealed; it’s about a dust sample brought back from Mars that can cure cancer but also has some horrific side effects. The second is “On Sabbath Hill”, which is set in a college campus, and details on the third have not been given.
Distribution is already being looked at, with a name like Romero’s attached that’s inevitable, and Monahan told the paper that if the first does well a second anthology is already being planned.
