Dead Matter Rolls
A dream came true this past weekend when Edward Douglas’ remake of his own super low-budget The Dead Matter, now with an actual budget and cast, got rolling in Cleveland, OH. Other than it being something Midnight Syndicate co-founder Douglas has been planning and hoping for for years, it’s also going to be the biggest production in the history of Cleveland when all is said and done.
Almost all the cast and crew are local, including former KNB effects man Robert Kurtzman whose effects company, Precinct 13, are co-producing and handling all the makeup effects for the movie. That’s not a bad man to have on your side.
With cameras rolling through the month of August expect to hear more about The Dead Matter very soon. For now both the film’s official site and MySpace page have pics for you to peruse at your leisure, so get out there and see how it’s looking!

So it’s not a huge update, but at least it’s something after months of silence... Rob Zombie, master of dozens of MySpace pages it seems, just threw up a blog on the Haunted World of El Superbeasto
