Dead Birds Sequel Planned
Sometimes you forget that a filmmaker can go into the making of a movie with the intentions of continuing his or her story across at least two more; seems like everyone wants their own trilogy these days thanks to the amount of time it can take to get an indie film off the ground.
Alex Turner, for example, got his Civil War-era horror film Dead Birds (review) out to the horror-hungry public back in 2005 with plans to make the film only one part in a three-part overarching story. So what happened to the other two? Bloody Disgusting learned yesterday that Turner is re-teaming with writer Simon Barrett to pen the script and direct The Stone House, a quasi-sequel to Dead Birds.
No more real specifics were doled out, but the duo seem to be starting work on the film as we speak so expect to hear more about it soon!
Hope that Henry Thomas comes back in our forums!
