Ah, don’t know how we kept missing this one, especially since Dark Sky Films is easily one of the coolest DVD distributors out there now.
The Hollywood Reporter threw out word the other day that the company has branched outside of releasing movies to actually making movies, starting with Plague Town, which kicked into production under the directorial eye of David Gregory a few days ago.
The story is simple enough: A family goes on vacation and discovers an entire Irish town full of zombies. Census must be a bitch there, eh? One thing not mentioned in the trade article is that the town in question is actually full of killer kids, something that can only be learned if you check out Fangoria’s story about the film from a few days back, which is also where the pic comes from.
Gregory previously produced The Manson Family, which Dark Sky released to much applause a few years back, and is the co-founder of the UK video label Exploited. So he’s pretty fucking cool.
I promise we’ll be more on top of future developments, so stay tuned!
Wish the kids in your town were the hungry dead in the Dread Central forums!
