Dark Sky & Glass Eye Team for New Horror
You just had to know a team-up like this would happen eventually; the match is too perfect to ignore. Today it was officially announced that Dark Sky Films and Glass Eye Pix would be rejoining forces (their first outing being Ti West’s House of the Devil) for a slate of new horror films.
First up will be Burrowers director J.T. Petty's There’s No Place Like Home and Satan Hates You director James Felix McKenney’s creature feature Hypothermia. The timeline isn’t specified so it’s unclear if Home will be shot before or after Petty’s Faces of Death remake, if indeed that's still in the cards.
Glass Eye prez and all-around nice guy Larry Fessenden and Roost helmer Ti West will direct after the first two films are in the can. Fessenden has an ability to attract interesting talent to him like a magnet, and I’m sure this venture will continue to prove that theory over and over. Keep it here for details on the new films as we dig ‘em up!

Another new title has been added to this year’s Screamfest LA lineup, one that horror fans have been waiting over a year to finally see for themselves: Mike Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat! Yesterday I got a postcard in the mail with Friday, October 10th, listed as the premiere date for the film at Mann’s Chinese 6 Theatre, which means it's opening the festival in style!
