CW Sets Premiere Date for 13 - Fear is Real
Last summer when San Diego Comic-Con was in full swing, we reported on the new Sam Raimi-produced horror reality TV show called "13 - Fear is Real" …. and then promptly forgot all about it. But that's about to change since according to Zap2it.com the show is finally premiering on The CW on Wednesday, January 7, 2009.
Pictured (L-R) are Steffannie, Lauren, Nasser, Erica and Cody -- an actress, model/hairstylist, hotel concierge, sports show co-host, and student, respectively. They're just a few of the lucky 13 contestants who will face their deepest fears, which range from "the usual creepy crawlies such as roaches and rats to the situational (drowning, being burned alive, suffocation) to the bizarrely specific: clowns with spiders for hands and needles for stilts."
The competitors, whose full profiles can be found in the Zap2it story, are stranded in a remote Louisiana bayou, and those who fail the various challenges will be killed off. The last person standing goes home with the $66,666 prize.
And, since we're talking about The CW, the network's supernatural drama "Reaper" will be returning for a 13-episode second season on Tuesday nights starting March 17, 2009. I was hot and cold on the show but am always happy to see Ray Wise getting work.
Add these two offering to fan favorite "Supernatural", and it's looking like The CW truly is a genre lover's best friend!
