Composer Returns for Descent 2

In case anyone was wondering about the progress of The Descent 2, today a pretty clear indication that things are moving forward came to us via Upcoming Film Scores.

The site got word that David Julyan has been signed on to do the music for the sequel, which is being written and directed by The Descent editor Jon Harris. Julyan did the haunting music for Neil Marshall’s original film as well as Chris Nolan’s Memento and the much talked about horror movie Waz, among others.

The Descent 2 is said to pick up right where the first movie left off, though no one’s gotten around to mentioning which freaking ending they’re going from, the original or truncated one. It’s pretty important since both would cause significant differences in where the film goes.

The sequel is looking at a 2009 release; keep it here for more as we get it!
