Coffin Joe Rises Again?

The starving cannibals over on Twitch Film posted a trailer the other day for a short film by Brazilian filmmaker Carlos Gananian, which was apparently so good they had to question what else the man was doing.
Turns out that aside from his short vampire film “Akai” making the festival circuit, Gananian is shooting behind-the-scenes videos for the latest film by Jose Mojica Marins, aka Coffin Joe! Though there were no specifics mentioned as to whether or not Jose would be directing or just starring, it’s cool enough to know that the legend is making his way back!
Set to shoot in October, the film was penned by “Love For Mother Only” (which is part of the Fantasia Small Gauge Trauma DVD that I reviewed for you here) writer Dennison Ramalho. As if the presence of Joe weren’t enough, now I’m really curious as to what this film could be. We’ll have more for you as we learn it!
