A few months ago you might recall we did a story that Hasbro’s over priced plastic version of the Cloverfield monster may have been cancelled. Nothing specific was ever said one way or another by the company, unfortunately, so we just had to go with the info available to us, which was that those who pre-ordered were getting notifications that the toy was discontinued.
Well, I guess those notifications were wrong, because reader “Gollum” wrote into Action Figure with a full review for his Cloverfield monster, complete with pics of it doing some rampaging. The gist of the review? ”If you liked the movie and have the cash to spare then I say go for it. It's a nice enough collectible that you can't get just anywhere.” Not what one would call a ringing endorsement, but it is encouraging. Click here to read the whole thing.
Sure enough, the beast is up on Hasbro’s site and ready for you to spend your hard-earned on for the monster lover on your Christmas list. And hey, if that monster lover happens to be you, we won’t tell anyone...

I saw it at Toy Fair this year. It was damned cool. Perhaps they can align it with the sequel they were buzzing about doing back in the day.
