Clock Tower Ready to Strike

Clock Tower film ready to rollSangre Eterna helmer Jorge Olguin has signed on the dotted line and is currently having his director’s chair made for the feature film adaptation of the popular survival horror game Clock Tower. Wasting no time, production is set to start up in December with Olguin working from a script by Todd Farmer (Jason X), Jake Wade Wall (When a Stranger Calls redux), and David Coggeshell according to Production Weekly.

The story follows Alyssa Hamilton, a normal girl whose life is turned upside down when she receives a call from her estranged mother warning her not to come home. Of course she does (it is a horror film, after all) and soon learns that she is in possession of a unique power that will allow her to save the world, but time is running short. Fans of the series know that this is actually the plot of the Clock Tower 3 game, not the original, but as long as it’s scary, I doubt anyone will complain. Too loudly.

Many gamers recognize the point-and-click original game as one of the first survival horror titles, and work on a film version has been in various stages of reality for years now. It’s good to hear that the producers have hired a true friend of the genre to make the film happen. Keep it here for more info very soon!
