Chainsaw Award Noms Announced!

Fangoria and fuseTV have teamed to bring the world the first-ever televised Chainsaw Awards; this you know already. What you probably don’t know is when or where they’ll be shooting said awards, nor when they will be on the channel… and that information will come at a price…
For today only, though, it’s free! The awards will take place on Sunday, October 15th (oddly, my wedding anniversary!), at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The show will then be televised on fuseTV at 9:30 pm on October 22nd. Details as to how you can attend are forthcoming, don’t you worry about that.
So what films are up for awards this year? Lots of good stuff, and the categories are pretty varied. Hostel leads the pack with six nominations while Snakes on a Plane, The Hills Have Eyes, and Underworld: Evolution all nabbed five apiece. Neil Marshall’s The Descent, which had better fuckin’ win for best film, comes in with four noms, which ain’t too shabby either.
