Busting out the Bava
Oh man, how I love October! Not only do I get to dress up and beat children senseless for their candy on the 31st, but release after release of classic fright flicks come pouring out of the cracks during this time of the year. It's like we can't go a day without at least one or twenty DVDs being announced.
Fangoria today got the full specs on Anchor Bay's next big box set, The Mario Bava Collection Volume 2. If you remember we reviewed the first volume months back and by the look of it, the same amount of quality and quantity is being crammed into this next release.
On October 23rd we will be getting the following films:
Baron Blood
Bay of Blood
Five Dolls for an August Moon
Four Times that Night
Kidnapped AKA Rabid Dogs (review)
Lisa and the Devil / House of Exorcism
Roy Colt and Winchester Jack
Erik the Conqueror
Only three out of the eight films in Volume 2 will be lacking special features. The other five Bava flicks will have supplements like audio commentaries, featurettes and interviews. For a full list of the specs click here. I know this Halloween is overloaded with plenty of other DVDs, but this is Bava people! Preorder the collection here!

NEXT STORY
Anyone who was lucky and/or smart enough to attend the first annual Fear Fest (more info on number two is here), and in turn were smart enough to attend the panel with John Gulager, Marcus Dunstan and Diane Goldner were the first, and maybe last, to see test footage they shot for Midnight Man, a film we’ve been hoping to get made for a while over here.
