This weekend our MySpace master, Nomad, got a message from the makers of a new film called Krampus about some pretty kick ass casting news for their oddly-titled film.
Barbara Nedeljakova (Hostel, Doom), Jonathan Breck (Jeepers Creepers), Camden Toy ("Buffy" & "Angel"), Eileen Deitz (The Exorcist) and Charles Cyhpers (Halloween) have all singed on for Krampus; not bad for a feature length debut for newbie director Christian Cisneros.
The Krampus is a monster, you see; a seven-foot-tall, cloven-hooved beast who, according to Austrian legend, followed St. Nicholas and weeded out anyone who he deemed whiney, bratty, or just plain petulant.
There’s not much specifically known about the film, only that it will be the first movie to utilize the titular beast as it’s centerpoint. With a cast like that it’s definitely one we’ll be keeping our eyes on.
Check out the official Krampus site for more info, and be sure to make friends with them on MySpace here!
