Bradford Hears an Echo
The first bit of casting news has come down for the upcoming remake of the Fillipino horror hit, Sigaw, which has been retitled The Echo here for good reason.
The Hollywood Reporter have learned that Jesse Bradford (Swimfan) has signed on for the lead, playing a young man who moves into a new apartment complex, soon realizing that his neighbor is an abusive, wife-beating asshole. When he tries to step in to help, however, he finds himself trapped in a curse. Always a bitch, to be sure.
Yam Laranas, who co-wrote and directed the original, is at the helm for the remake, working from a re-worked script written by Romeo Must Die and The Hitcher remake co-writer Eric Bernt. Shooting is set to ramp up this August in Toronto.
