Bousman Chats Up Repo

While Darren Lynn Bousman continues work on Saw IV, it’s good to know that he’s also got his hand in getting his epic rock opera Repo! The Genetic Opera ready to shoot as soon as he’s done.
In his on-going blog over on Fearnet a few days back, he decided to take the time to tell fans a bit more about the ballsy project, which he describes as a “rock opera with screaming guitars, heavy in your face music, and songs that are so addictive CRACK seems like [an] easier thing to kick.” Now that’s the sort of thing I want to see!
The writers and composers are currently working on getting the songs right, and recently Bousman got to listen to some scratch tracks from what will eventually be the film’s soundtrack (the entire film is sung according to the man) which made him “flip”. Needless to say he’s a pretty fucking excited about seeing this finally come to fruition as it’s been something he’s wanted to do for years now. To the right is the first bit of concept art from the film, which he posted to the blog. Pretty sick shit!
