Boston Underground 2009 First Announcements!
The cellar dwellers behind the Boston Underground Film Festival have just given word to Dread Central about this year’s lineup, and fellow East Coasters are going to be stoked!
The festival kicks off on March 19th with a screening of Frank Henelotter’s Bad Biology, with Henelotter and producer RA “The Rugged Man” in attendance! Other genre films during the festival’s run include David Gregory’s Plague Town (Gregory and producer Daryl Tucker will be on-hand), as well as Rod Gudino’s amazing short “The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow” (review) and Jason Eisner’s “Treevenge”, both part of "J. Cannibal's Tapas of Terror" short films program, and a lot more!
On the non-horror front, BUFF has the freaky stalker doc I Think We’re Alone Now, the bizarre comedy Modern Love is Automatic, the very, very strange sounding Watch Out, and Nobuhiko Obayashi’s 1977 cult film Hausu.
Keep an eye here and on BUFF’s official site for more film and guest announcements as all those things are finalized!

Nomad just dropped us word from the floor of the New York Comic Con that Diamond Select is working on a series of Ghostbusters Mini-Mates! Details were not forthcoming, but I’m sure all four Busters will be represented, and hopefully a ghost or two as well. Maybe the Ecto-1 as an accessory? The mind reels with possibilities...

I've heard some very good things about Treevenge.
