Blood Trails Sets Premiere, New Pics!
During our two-week long hiatus (which, trust me, most of us needed anyway, as boring as it was at times), Travis Stevens , who works for the company working to release Blood Trails, dropped us a line with a very cool update on the award-winning debut film: "We're close to a U.S. deal which is sweet, and we've been asked to hold our U.S. premiere at the Fantastic Fest in Austin. I am very excited to finally get a chance to visit Austin and drink from its mighty well!"

Though only in its second year, the Fantastic Fest in Austin is already generating all sorts of buzz as the hot new film festival in the U.S., thanks in no small part to the involvement of both the Alamo Drafthouse and the team behind Ain’t It Cool News. The festival goes down in Austin this year from September 21st through the 28th. Blood Trails will be joining other films such as Adam Mason’s Broken, The Living and the Dead, Frostbite, and a helluva lot more to be announced. Check out the fest’s official site here for more.

Travis also let me in on a new film they’re working on called The Room, which he describes as "sort of like "The Shining" directed by Polanski." Though he says it's not the same as either The Shining or anything by Polanski, indeed it sounds much more fucked up, but that should give you a taste of what you’re in for. The poster for it is below, and you can check out the film’s trailer right here!

Though it’s not terribly new, it sure is pretty damn cool. To the right you’ll see the first piece of teaser art for Brotherhood of Blood, the Sid Haig/Ken Foree-starring vampire flick from the directing team of Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer, who also wrote the flick.
