Block is Back With Bigger Boat

Peter Block launches A Bigger BoatPeter Block, former president of acquisitions and co-producer at Lionsgate, has set off on his own with a brand-new company called A Bigger Boat, securing distribution deals with Overture in North America and Alliance in the UK, Spain, Italy and Scandinavia, according to Variety.

Block’s intention is to shoot genre films, our genre of course not the romantic comedy genre, which will cost between $10 and $25 million. First on the slate are a thriller from John Carpenter (perhaps L.A. Gothic?) and Dark Corners, which was penned by Home Sick, Autopsy and Pop Skull writer/producer E.L. Katz.

No more details were available on either film, but we’ll be keeping an eye out and let you know when we find them out! Good to have you back in our midst, Mr. Block; now don’t let us down!
