The trades are reporting this morning that Paul (The Da Vinci Code) Bettany has signed on to star in the Screen Gems thriller Legion, the feature directing debut of visual effects house Orphanage co-founder Scott Stewart, who also penned the script with Peter Schink.
Legion will tell of what happens when God gets sick of humanity and sends his legion of angels to get rid of us stinky monkeys once again. Somehow, humanity's only hope lies with a group holed up in a diner in the middle of nowhere, being aided by the archangel Michael (Bettany).
Anything that’s got to do with God and angels fucking with humans, I’m sold on. Production ramps up on New Mexico next month, so keep it here for more!
Look forward to the rapture in the Dread Central forums!

Oooooooh, this movie sounds great! I read an issue of "Crimson" that involved the warring angels on Christmas. I loved it. Though I don't believe in none 'a dat theism hoodoo, I do love a good story about warring angels and such.
