Benderspink Adapts Last Blood
Though I’m no fan of vampires, I have to say the basic concept of Last Blood is pretty cool. The indie comic is now in the hands of Benderspink, who will be adapting it for the big screen in the coming months according to Variety this morning.
So what is said concept? The comic follows a band of bloodsuckers who are tasked with protecting the last remaining humans on Earth after an apocalypse. But protect them from what? Ah, therein lies the mystery ... And are they only protecting them to keep their food supply alive? The plot thickens!
Brothers Bobby and Chris Crosby started created the comic after founding Blatant Comics in 1997. They began serializing it on the official Last Blood site, and it was finally published across four books last year. Pretty cool success story so far; now we just have to see how the film turns out.

It’s been a while since we heard much from the After Dark camp regarding Frontier(s), the film that was originally going to be one of the 8 Films to Die For until they couldn’t bring in an R rating. Luckily, their silence was due to hard work on their side building promo materials for the film!
