Beltrami Scores The Eye

When it comes to scoring horror films these days, few names are as instantly recognizable as Marco Beltrami. Over the years the man has created original scores for fright flicks like the Scream trilogy, The Omen, Hellboy, Joy Ride, Mimic … the list goes on and on.
So it’s not too surprising to hear that he’ll be putting together the music for the David Moreau/Xavier Palud remake of The Eye according to newbie site Upcoming Film Scores. Personally it’s not exactly a film that’s on my “must-see” list (the original was pretty good but how often are the remakes equal?), though the pair’s debut feature, Them (review), is very well-regarded. Something about Jessica Alba as an “actress” just doesn’t work for me. As a late-night fantasy… well, that’s a different story.
