Behind the Scenes of Halloween Horror Nights!
Nothing beats a hot girl in a Freddy Krueger outfit (maybe it's some Freudian thing), and we at Dread Central saw plenty of 'em when Universal Studios Hollywood held the casting call for "Freddy's Fly Girl Dancers" to kick off the festivities at this year's Halloween Horror Nights. Overseeing the event was big-wig choreographer Jason Ramsburg, who led an army of attractive dancers in a series of bumps and grinds. Since we wouldn't want our loyal readers to miss out on all that lovely flesh, we've included pics and video of the event to whet your appetites.
We also got a chance to speak to Halloween Horror Nights mastermind John Murdy about the mazes planned for this year. He assures us that even though the theme remains the same, fans can expect plenty of new shocks from the haunted houses. "We're meticulously rebuilding the Elm Street House, and we're going to have plenty of set-pieces from films we missed last year, like the Freddy Worm and The Force-Feeding Room. It's looking great!"
Universal has a lot planned this year, including a short film contest (judged by Eli Roth, Bill Moseley, Don Mancini and Corey Feldman) and the 2008 Eyegore Awards. Halloween Horror Nights runs October 3rd through November 1st in Hollywood and September 26th through November 1st in Orlando. Keep it here for more updates as we lead up to the big events!
But wait! There's more! Check out the first of a series of videos detailing how Halloween Horror Nights came to be below!
