AVP Redemption?

Why is it that the majority of Alien/Predator fan films have been more satisfying than those godawful AVP abortions from Fox? To further illustrate this point, a teaser has just popped up on YouTube for a short fan film currently in production, appropriately titled AVP: Redemption. The clip is composed mostly of FX test shots on green screens, but looks better than both AVP movies combined...

How sad is it that a couple of guys in a garage can light a better film than the Strause Brothers could with $40 million?

while watching AVPR in the theater it made me feel like a retarded mongoloidal triple amputee midget who was placed in a dark room and gang raped by the entire cast and after the movie was over i felt as if they topped it off by shitting in my mouth. that's my review of AVPR. this on the other hand was hilarious

This is considered impressive?

I don't understand why people are so impressed with shitty, shitty, shitty fan films. That shitty Batman one, that shitty Grayson, that shitty AVP one I just sat through.

Sorry, no matter what you say, you can't get me to dislike AVP: Requiem.
Coulda been better, but I still really liked it. I hope Fox greenlights a sequel (or just a predator 3 movie would be cool too).

I'm so sick of all the hate on the second AVP movie. The only thing wrong with it was the darkness and the rain. If they hadnt make a stupid move like that it would have been better. That in no way looks better than the effects done in the Fox movies. It's not bad until the "fighting". Granted they didnt have several million dollars for a budget but still....

Even if it had better lighting it would have been a well lit piece of shit instead of a dark piece of shit movie. Also the script sucked, the acting sucked and was more like a DTV flick than an actual movie.

The ONLY thing? Erm, how about the world's worst script and WB cast?

Heavens, that cast doesn't look good enough to be extras in WB (or should it be CW now?).

Except maybe Mr. acid-face. But that's stretching it.

Goddamn, it had me until it descended into "Hey, ma! Look what I made on public access at the librareeeee" hilarity.

Yeah Dead End is probably the best Alien VS Predator movie we'll ever see sadly.

The Predator is knocking those aliens around like Asterix and Obelix do to the Romans. Hilarious and lame at the same time.

At least they lit the picture.
