Another Trip to the Underworld

I’m really not surprised that Sony would agree to another Underworld movie (sorry, but I liked the last one way more than the first), and it’s pretty damn cool who might be taking over the helm.
While at Comic Con, Bloody Disgusting reported that Sony will be making the announcement for Underworld 3 very soon, and IESB followed up the news with word that effects man Patrick Tatopoulos would be at the helm.
Tatopoulos, you may recall, was in the running to direct Midnight Meat Train before Ryuhei Kitamura took the seat, and he’s been attached to the new Dracula tale Voyage of the Demeter, for quite a while as well. Something tells me if he gets the third Underworld movie right, he can finally get that project off the ground; I just hope he can pull this off!
Look for an official announcement, which will hopefully have some more details along with it, very soon!
