Alvart's Pandorum Finds Cash

After finally finishing Case 39, which seems like it’s been being made for years now, Antibodies helmer Christian Alvart won’t have to wait for the cash to come in to jump right into his next project, the Dennis Quaid/Ben Foster thriller Pandorum.

Variety reports that Pandorum was one of 10 film projects that the German funding organization known as the FFA has given money to, to the tune of $600,000. All right, so probably not enough to make the sci-fi/thriller movie right, but it sure is a good start.

In case you had forgotten, Pandorum follows two crewman who awaken aboard their spaceship with no memories and soon discover that they’re headed right for something that could threaten all of humanity. The movie kicks off shooting in Berlin on Monday. Stay tuned for details as they come in!
