Alphabet Killer & Pontypool Trailers
Those sickos over at Arrow in the Head got their hands on the trailer for Rob Schmidt’s The Alphabet Killer, coming our way soon from Anchor Bay, and all you have to do is scroll down a bit to feast thine eyes upon it!
Eliza Dushku stars in The Alphabet Killer as a detective who goes way beyond obsession trying to solve a murder mystery in which a child whose first and last name have the same initials is found dead in a town with the same initial. The story is based on the real-life case that went down in Rochester, NY.
They also got their fingers into the trailer for Pontypool, which you may recall is about an outbreak of violence that is caused by some kind of virus in human language. It’s been getting all sorts of great reviews from festivals so it’s definitely one to keep your eyes on!

I just don’t know how I feel about Ron Perlman in the shoes of The King, or the shoes of Bruce Campbell for that matter, but according to a recent interview with Paul Giamatti over on AICN, that’s who’s interested in filling out the jumpsuit for Bubba Nosferatu.

There's a free screening of Pontypool in LA this week--Nov. 6 in Westwood. You can RSVP here:

Better to see it now than to wait until 2009...

It's a little bit disappointing to see such a conventional trailer for Pontypool (especially knowing how fucking good the movie is, and how unconventional it it), but it's not a bad trailer, and if it gets asses in the seats, then I don't care how they sell the movie.
Alphabet Killer looks boring.
