A Sequel for Horrorfest
Well, this is a bit unexpected; for the first time since its inception, After Dark Films will be featuring a sequel as one of this year’s 8 Films to Die For. Some may question the validity of said sequel, but there is a good chance of it getting butts in seats.
In cooperation with Benderspink, the announcement was made today that The Butterfly Effect 3 will be a part of this year’s Horrorfest, with shooting scheduled to kick off on September 1st in Vancouver, which may set a new record for a film being done since Horrorfest usually goes down in November ... I kid, of courese; Butterfly Effect 3 will be a part of 2009's Horrorfest.
Holly Brix (The Lost Girls) penned the script, which follows ”a young man [who] discovers he has inherited the powers of 'The Butterfly Effect' and attempts to solve the mystery of his high school girlfriend's death using his newfound ability, only to unwittingly unleash a vicious serial killer.”
All right, that’s an interesting direction to take it in, I guess. Benderspink’s Chris Bender promises the film will be ”a whole new level of insanity ... Holly’s script is a tremendous ride, and her take on time travel is one that’s truly original. This film will blow audiences away.”
Keep it here for more on Butterfly Effect 3 and the rest of After Dark’s lineup as it comes down!

I'm still not getting the continuing of such a horrible franchise. But then... I don't get the popularity of La India.

On the plus side, it's impossible for it to be any worse than TBE2. Talk about pointless!
