A New Line for Plucker’s Spirit

The PluckerEver wonder what happens to all the toys you push to the corner or under your bed? Lost and forgotten these play things might just sit and gather dust in most cases, but sometimes strange things happen.

Such is the case in Brom’s 2005 illustrated novel, The Plucker. A young boy named Thomas has discarded one of his toys, a jack-in-the-box, which gains awareness of its surroundings and predicament. Though this animated object may be alone and depressed about his current situation, that does not stop him from protecting his owner when an evil spirit comes to cause Thomas harm.

Variety has some interesting information regarding one of Brom’s darkly drawn tale, The Plucker. The artist’s work has been optioned by New Line Cinema and they are currently seeking a director.

Not much else out side of that small tidbit was shared by the V, but there’s no doubt Brom himself may start letting the horror community know where things stand.
