A Name for Lullaby Helmer

Ulf for Lullaby?A nameless reader just dropped us a line with clarification on the story we did a few days back regarding a director being brought on board to adapt Chuck Palahniuk’s Lullaby. The source we got the original intel from didn’t know the director’s actual name, just how it sounded when spoken, but our scooper seems to have deciphered it.

The Swedish director is Ulf Johansson, former member of the six-man Swedish production team Traktor. The only film credited to Traktor is the 2000 comedy Chain of Fools, which starred Steve Zahn, Salma Hayek and Jeff Goldblum (among many, many others) and was, according to our informant, “awful in almost every way”

Not too encouraging, but then you have to figure Chain was made by two directors, whereas Lullaby will be made by just one, Johansson. We’ll likely have to wait for an official announcement for further clarification, but so far it all makes sense.

Keep it here for Lullaby updates as we get them!
