A Date with Embodiment of Evil

How I do wish we had some news about a US release for the latest evil incantation from Brazilian madman Coffin Joe, The Embodiment of Evil (see the trailer here), but right now all we have is the first word on a release in its home country.

As is fitting for a movie so close to the twisted heart of Jose Mojica Marins, various Brazilian sources are reporting that Embodiment will be released on March 13th, 2008; which just so happens to be the man’s birthday! If only we could get it over here so soon…

The Embodiment of Evil serves as director sequel to This Night I’ll Possess Your Corpse, finding Coffin Joe released from prison and still searching for the perfect mate to produce an offspring. Marins directed from a script by Love From Mother Only helmer Dennison Ramalho. Keep it here for more on this soon-to-be classic as we learn it!
