A Date for Dead Silence
Universal seems to have finally figured out what to do with James Wan’s follow-up to Saw, the ventriloquist-themed horror movie Dead Silence (review). Thankfully, it’s a theatrical release!
If you hit up their official site and check out the "Future Releases," you’ll see a date of March 23rd, 2007. Not too shabby; I just hope they start doing some promo for it soon-ish. Like now.
The story is about a young couple, Lisa and Jamie, who have just begun to establish a life for themselves far from their hometown of Raven’s Fair. When Lisa is brutally murdered, Jamie is forced to return home, where he encounters the legend of Mary Shaw, a murdered ventriloquist whose curse still haunts Raven’s Fair and may be responsible for Lisa’s death.
