30 Days Goes Beyond Barrow
"After years of attacks, and several without, the citizens of Barrow have become united against random attacks on their city by the undead. Unfortunately the same does not apply outside of Barrow or the rest of the mysterious Arctic Circle."
While that does sound like a great lead-in for a story about a sequel to last year's 30 Days of Night (review), it is actually the plot line for the newest 30 Days comic! IDW Publishing will be releasing the graphic novel comprised of all three issues this month to coincide with the film's DVD release.
Co-creator Steve Niles and artist Bill Sienkiewicz have teamed up to expand on the mythos of the comic with a new creature that is preying on vampire and human alike. Visit IDW Publishing for more previews of "30 Days of Night: Beyond Barrow" and preorder the DVD through EvilShop!

I know we ran a story long ago about Robert Englund directing another adaptation of Nikolaj Gogol's "The Vij", but it vanished. At least I know I didn't make it up because Daily Variety confirmed today that Mr. Krueger will be helming the project and principal photography is scheduled to begin in April.
