Well, okay, maybe not the Lords themselves, but today musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie offered fans a look at one of the upcoming film's possible locations, and fortunately it's looking appropriately creepy. Dig it!
Even more talk about Rob Zombie's latest original film, The Lords of Salem, has slipped online, and you know we're right here to deliver the juiciest bits to you! Recently Zombie sat down with Empire Online to shed even more light on the project and talk about what's next after that.
With production likely to begin in March, all eyes are on Rob Zombie to deliver a new original feature so that he can officially shed the skin of remakes past.
Word has just come in that Rob Zombie is gearing up to start shooting his next film, The Lords of Salem, this spring. It's good to have the man back working on his own original material. The film has been put together by Haunted Films, the company run by the Paranormal Activity team of Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Oren Peli.
ABC is certainly not skimping when it comes to ordering up new pilots as today the network greenlit 6 new ones, 3 of which sound like they fit into the genre at least partially, including horror/drama "The River", which Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli is executive producing with his partners Jason Blum and Steven Schneider as well as DreamWorks TV's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.
See now this is a remake we can get behind! At two plus hours long, the original 1978 Irwin Allen disaster Bee-movie, The Swarm, was one of the single most boring cinematic experiences I can ever recall having. Really, it's insufferable. So why not redo a movie that sucks and deserves another chance. Please, Hollywood, make this your latest trend.
After a week of heavy speculation, the proverbial cat is now out of the bag concerning just what Rob Zombie's next film will be. Curious? You know you are!
2011 looks to be the year that aliens invade the box office. Joining Oren Peli's Area 51 and JJ Abrams' Super 8, comes another in a string of alien related flicks, but this one, at least for now, is remaining pretty hush-hush.
With Paranormal Activity quickly reaching cult fame amongst the horror fanbase, the film's producers are hard at work trying to find us some new reasons to be afraid of the dark.
