Another comics-to-film adaptation is back on track as Valiant Entertainment Group has brought back Stephen Susco to write a script for its Harbinger comic series adaptation with Brett Ratner set to develop and possibly direct.
Another short film has been scooped up to be made into a feature film as Variety reports that Paramount has acquired Clark Baker's sci-fi/horror short film Vessel and tapped genre scribe Stephen Susco (The Grudge) to write and produce the feature version, which will be directed by Baker.
There's been a curious little rumor going around pertaining to Oren Peli's next movie, Area 51. Some sites have been reporting that writer Stephen Susco has been brought in late in the game for rewrites and even possible reshoots on the cinéma-vérité style film in which the dialogue is largely improvised. Yeah, that didn't sound right to us either so we did a bit of digging to get to the bottom of things.
Finally, Hack/Slash has officially gotten itself a writer to go along with recently named director Fredrik Bond. Yes, folks, this means that we are just this much closer to seeing Cassie Hack's blood-soaked rampage come to the big screen! Saints be praised!

Word has come down via Variety this morning that a director has been chosen to helm Sanctuary, the Stephen Susco-scripted adaptation of John Connolly’s novel Bad Men.
Now this is some very, very good news indeed.
